Description

As a member of the IT Team, the IT Technical Specialist is responsible for providing software, hardware, network, and telecom support for the entire organization. Performs face-to-face and remote troubleshooting with end-users in a friendly and professional manner. Handles daily support needs including, but not limited to, new user setup, equipment refreshes, basic systems administration, basic network administration, software updates, end-user training, and hardware maintenance. Assists with implementation and testing of IT projects as needed. This position is 40% local travel, 40% in-office, and 20% work-from-home.

Job Responsibilities:

•Responsiveness: Provide prompt and efficient support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

•Ticket Triaging: Accurately categorize and prioritize incoming support tickets based on urgency and impact.

•Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues at the first level of support whenever possible.

•Escalation: Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support teams as necessary.

•Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service and communication.

•Documentation: Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

•Valid driver's license and insurance - This role will require frequent mileage-reimbursable travel between sites

•Minimum 1 - 2 years working in the IT Field

•Minimum 1 - 2 years working in IT position providing end-user support and troubleshooting software, hardware, and other IT systems

•Bachelor's in IT related degree preferred

•A+, MCP, or other certifications preferred

•High attention to detail

•Ability to work on a team to troubleshoot IT problems, evaluate solutions, and maintain systems

•Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

•A strong desire to improve technical skills and stay aware of new technologies

•Exceptional interpersonal skills, very easy to work with

•Adaptability and ability to multitask and understand changing priorities

•Self-teaching, learning and organizational skills

•Analytical mentality

Physical Requirements:

•Prolonged periods standing and walking

•Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces

•Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time

•Must have reliable transportation in the event that ticket resolution requires travel to a local office
