Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
- Conducting detailed financial analysis to provide insight into company operations and performance.
- Applying your comprehensive understanding of financial accounting to ensure the integrity of our financial data.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, highlighting key business drivers and variances to plan.
- Managing the general ledger and ensuring it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions.
- Generating forecasts and comprehensive budgets that align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Identifying opportunities for performance improvement across the organization.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Interacting with various departments and team members to help understand financial data and provide them with information needed to make key business decisions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
- Proficiency in financial statements preparation, financial accounting, financial analysis, accounting, financial reporting, general ledger, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
