Registered Nurse - ICU @ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Crisis Response

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Float Pool Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Job Duration: 15 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required. Large hospital experience required. First-time travelers are welcome. License: Valid permanent California license must be in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: Required: ACLS, BLS, NIH. Preferred: CCRN. Must-Have: - PA line experience- Competence in vents, IV start, ICP, tele, and conscious sedation- Willingness to float within various ICU units and other related units Job Description: - Preference for start date with no time off requests within the first two weeks.- ICU Float Pool nurses will be assigned to different units including: - Neuro (8SCCT) - Respiratory failure, ventilator support, hemodynamic instability (7SCCT) - Acute myocardial infarction with complications/hemodynamic instability (6SCCT/4SCCT) - GU, GI bleeds, environmental injuries, shocks, massive transfusion (5SCCT) - Transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas, heart/lung)- Expectation to float down to medical-surgical, telemetry, progressive care, overflow units, and overflow PACU when needed.- Strong preference for candidates with experience in Level I Trauma and charge nurse roles.- Comprehensive transplant center experience is preferred.- Epic charting is highly preferred.- Candidates must comply with flu and COVID-19 vaccination requirements, including booster shots, with no exemptions permitted.- Previous staff must wait 24 months before being eligible for travel positions again.
