These insights will improve both the autonomy system and the core simulation platform, contributing to the future of mobility.Our work spans globally, with collaboration across teams between North America, Japan, and London. As part of this highly collaborative environment, your contributions will have a real-world impact, improving both the autonomy system and the core simulation platform that drives our future mobility solutions.WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer who can elevate our data engineering practices, enhancing our existing pipelines and driving the transition to a more scalable and centralized architecture. You’ll play a critical role in advancing how data is stored, processed, and transformed to support diverse use cases across our products.You’ll bring both a deep technical skill set and an innovative mindset, adding a new dimension to our team's capabilities. We’re looking for someone who can think strategically while diving deep into execution.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign

and implement scalable data pipelines that support the processing and storage of evaluation metrics, enabling both large-scale simulation testing and focused, small-scale scenario evaluations.Optimize

and expand our existing data storage strategy, working towards a more unified architecture while ensuring flexibility for specialized, queryable structures.Collaborate

with our team of engineers to ensure the effective integration of our evaluation framework with other products, ensuring seamless data flow from simulation outputs to end-user dashboards.Support

data science initiatives by architecting solutions that enable efficient and scalable data processing, allowing for exploratory analysis and model development.Stay current

with evolving technologies in data engineering, ensuring that our data infrastructure remains modern and capable of supporting future products.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on building and scaling ETL pipelines.Proven experience with data storage solutions like DynamoDB, SQL databases, and experience designing data lakes or data warehouse architectures.Strong programming skills, with a focus on Python and experience in building scalable backend systems using FastAPI or similar frameworks.Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, Step Functions, and other serverless computing technologies.Experience with designing systems that support data science workflows and complex querying patterns.NICE TO HAVESExperience working with Flyte or similar workflow engines.Familiarity with simulation-based evaluation frameworks, particularly in autonomous driving or similar domains.Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams of engineers, data scientists, and product managers.A passion for working on cutting-edge technologies that are driving the future of mobility.$140,000- $230,000 a year. Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The California pay scale for this full time position is $140,000- $230,000.
