Worcester, MAWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Director to provide clinical oversight to our ND At Home Hospice and Palliative Care team. The ideal candidate will be a MA licensed Registered Nurse (R.N.) with a strong background in hospice care, ready to uphold the highest standards of patient comfort and quality of life. Job Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of ND At Home, oversee the daily nursing operations of the ND At Home Hospice and Palliative Care program, ensuring high-quality care for patients and their families.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that comply with state and federal regulations for hospice and palliative care.

As a member of ND At Home's management team, lead a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Evaluate and provide ongoing training to staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate care.

Ensure that the hospice care provided adheres to the individualized care plans and respects the wishes and needs of patients and their families.

Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, families, team members, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and address any concerns.

Monitor and ensure the quality of care through regular review of patient charts, feedback from patients and families, and adherence to quality metrics.

Assist the Vice President to manage the budget for the hospice program, including monitoring expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising the quality of care.

Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of qualified staff, including conducting interviews and evaluating staff performance.

Provide ongoing mentorship, support, and performance feedback to staff.

Requirements:

Current and unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse License (R.N.) required.

Minimum 10 years of nursing experience - At least 3 years of hospice or palliative care experience, with demonstrated leadership in a hospice care setting required.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of primary medical and nursing care, with at a minimum, a working knowledge of oncology nursing.

Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.

Strong understanding of compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to hospice and palliative care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.

Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and technology related to patient care.

Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate care.

Certification in hospice and palliative care nursing (CHPN) preferred.

Must pass all background checks.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as the position may require.
