OverviewPlans, develops, and implements VNS Health plan strategies designed to support program visibility and, where permitted, growth. Collaborates with the health plan providers, plan network management, Product Development, and Community Outreach departments to facilitate and support ongoing enrollment. Works under general supervision.

and 9 company holidaysHealth insurance plan for you and your loved ones, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and DisabilityEmployer-matched retirement saving fundsPersonal and financial wellness programsPre-tax flexible spending accounts (FSAs) for healthcare and dependent careGenerous tuition reimbursement for qualifying degreesOpportunities for professional growth and career advancementInternal mobility, generous tuition reimbursement, CEU credits, and advancement opportunitiesWhat You Will DoParticipates in development, implementation, and management of business alliances and partnerships with health plan providers including, but not limited to, physicians, medical groups, and home care providers.Follows departmental processes, policies and procedures to ensure successful execution and compliance with relevant CMS and DOH regulations.Identifies, develops and implements key stakeholder relationships that may generate compliant program referrals.Profiles referral sources and identifies key opportunities to partner with new and existing customers that support the goals of VNS Health plans.Maintains ongoing contact with key providers, IPA administrators, Medical System Managed Care, and VNS Health Plans leadership to ensure sales strategies are aligned with business growth objectives and targets.Understands workflow and responsibilities of the internal departments to effectively educate and communicate with external stakeholders.Schedules field time to follow up with individual growth targets on items needed to support strategy implementation, including orientations, education, and reinforcement of messaging.Troubleshoots potential issues with accounts; researches issues and provides solutions.Provides communication of salient issues to provider relations contact, as needed.Partners with outreach staff to ensure compliant program growth.Keeps up to date on the latest health care, region, and health plan market trends through networking, professional memberships, and select journal reading. Synthesizes trends and determines application and integration into account development strategies. Shares information with leadership.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent work experience, requiredValid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle, or ability to travel through all five NYC Boroughs, Westchester and Nassau counties, requiredWork Experience:Minimum four years of Medicare and/or Medicaid enrollment, community outreach, provider relations, or business development experience, requiredDemonstrated proficiency in MS Office, and Windows-based applications requiredDemonstrated ability to gain commitment, build rapport with others (facility staff, physicians, etc.), requiredExperience and success in serving ongoing customer needs as a retention strategy, requiredDemonstrated ability to identify and recommend solutions to market and customer trends, requiredStrong communication, presentation and sales skills, requiredBi-lingual skills may be required based on operational needs.Experience working with a culturally diverse target population, required
