You will own the vision for how distributors and artists can seamlessly integrate tracks onto the platform, while enabling creators to incorporate music into engaging experiences. In addition, you’ll define how users can listen to music together, socially, in a complex and interactive way.You Will:
Own the Music Product Vision: Your goal is to make it easy for artists to get their music on the platform, help them get discovered, and empower creators to incorporate music into their experiences.Define the vision for how users will interact with music socially, enabling them to listen together, share experiences, and discover music in new, engaging ways.Collaborate Cross-Functionally with engineers, designers, marketing, and partnerships teams to bring your vision to life.Lead projects from conceptualization to launch, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals.Establish Key Metrics and identify key success metrics for the music product line and optimize the user experience and engagement through data analysis.Research and stay on top of industry trends in music creation, distribution, and social engagement to ensure the platform remains a leader in music innovation.Champion features that allow artists to seamlessly upload, distribute, and run their music catalog while ensuring that they have the tools they need to be discovered by a broader audience.Craft the music product line to scale for growth in the music industry across different user segments.You will report to the Sr. Director of Product, Creator Services.You Have:
A proven track record in building products around music content, social media platforms, or content creation ecosystems that involve media.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience).5-8 years of product management experience, in creator platforms, digital content creation, or social apps.A Passion for Music: You demonstrate a profound comprehension of the music business, artist demands, and emerging trends in how people build, share, and engage with music.Always put artists, creators, and users at the forefront. Whether it's a tool for artists or a feature for social listening, you are dedicated to ensuring the best possible user experience.Technical Prowess: You’re comfortable working with engineering teams on how technology (APIs, content delivery, music licensing and machine learning) can deliver a compelling artist and user experience. Experience with digital audio platforms, APIs, or streaming technologies is a plus.A proficiency in using data to identify trends, measure product success, and optimally combine that with great product intuition to advise decision-making.For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
