Mentor and empower a high-performing team. $200-250K base salary + bonus + LTIP.

This is a hybrid role based in the Central Valley, CA.

Roles & Responsibilities

:

Partner with the CEO and business development team to create and deliver models for long term grower and customer partnerships.

Develop clear reporting and conclusions related to product-level, business unit level, and activity-level costs to inform ongoing operating plans and long-term strategy.

Lead the Finance, Accounting, and HR functions and oversee IT, treasury, tax, and audit partners.

Develop and implement the AOP, capital budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic plans.

Conduct scenario analysis, business models, and due diligence to recommend future strategic investments, funding options, and capital structures. Manage the integration of new acquisitions.

Ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place to meet all statutory regulations, accounting standards, practices, and audit requirements.

Ensure strong working capital management by optimizing A/R, A/P, and grower accounting.

Cultivate and manage relationships with banking and CPA partners, financial institutions, and key stakeholders.

Provide guidance and advice to the CEO and Board. Leverage business intelligence for evaluating operations, identifying problems, and recommending/implementing corrective actions.

Develop a communication framework to ensure that the goals are aligned with the strategic direction of the company and are understood at all levels.

Ensure effective labor utilization with greater efficiency and focus on profitability.

Empower the team, promote career growth, and enhance performance through coaching.

Requirements

:

Track record of providing strategic leadership at a mid-sized company with multiple business units. Agriculture experience is a plus but is not required.

Prior P&L ownership and broad commercial acumen with strengths in forecasting, budgeting, planning, resource allocation, and leadership development.

Experience leveraging a background in strategic finance to bolster FP&A and reporting plus an in-depth knowledge of GAAP requirements.

Possess a balance of operational and strategic skills, i.e. ability to support tactical finance tasks while also contributing to strategic planning.

M&A experience with an understanding of ROIC, and ability to run the due diligence and integration of new business units.

Ability to act as the primary liaison with lending and CPA partners. Experience leading debt and equity capital raises.

Demonstrated ability to engage with all levels within the business in addition to equity investors, professional services, and vendors.

Naturally curious, flexible, resourceful, and results-oriented with a strong service ethic.

An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to drive growth in an expanding business.

High level of integrity and emotional intelligence with strong communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement.

Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite, and the ability to implement and optimize financial reporting systems is desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field; CPA, MBA, or other higher certification/education is a plus.

Professional working proficiency in Spanish a plus.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
