Lido Advisors, LLC is an established and rapidly expanding wealth management firm. Lido is seeking a talented and nimble Legal Counsel to join its growing Legal team. This role will be focused on providing legal counsel to our investment advisory business and other parts of the Lido enterprise as needed. You will report to the General Counsel and will work closely with members of our Legal and Compliance teams, coordinate with outside counsel, and collaborate with a range of teams across the business. The ideal candidate will have a background as counsel to a wealth management or investment advisory firm.ResponsibilitiesProviding practical and timely legal advice, guidance and support on a range of matters relevant to Lido’s business, including long-term projects and day-to-day matters.Provide counsel in connection with new business and product initiatives.Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts relating to Lido’s business, including client agreements, NDAs, commercial agreements, employment agreements, etc.Collaborate with other Legal team members in support of projects.Interpret existing and proposed laws, rules, and regulations, and advise on changes thereto.Assist with subpoena, litigation and regulatory matters as needed.Provide legal support to the private fund platform.Learn new subject matter areas and take ownership of projects as needed.Develop and implement policies, processes and standards to support the Legal Department and other business areas.Assist with corporate matters and work on projects outside of normal responsibilities and adapt as needed.Manage outside counsel as necessary.Requirements

Juris doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.California Bar membership that is active and in good standing, or eligible to practice as California Registered in-house counsel.4+ years of practicing law, preferably at a law firm, financial institution, government agency, regulator and/or self-regulatory organization, with securities industry experience.Knowledge of the Investment Advisors Act of 1940 and its related rules and regulations, federal and state securities laws, and the investment advisor business is preferred but not required.Some familiarity with private funds and the Investment Company Act of 1940 is preferred.Prior in-house experience helpful, but not required.Strong analytical skills.Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.Team player and a desire to collaborate with others in a dynamic environment.Strong work ethic and attention to detail.Willingness to take ownership on projects.Ability to organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and keep the team apprised of status.Agility in a rapidly changing and fast-paced business environment.Desire and willingness to dive into the investment adviser space and to develop as a generalist.Creativity, a growth mindset, and a sense of humor are essential.Location:

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range below is an estimate and may be modified in the future.
