$120,000 to $226,000Who we are:X serves our community of users and customers by working tirelessly to preserve free expression and choice, create limitless interactivity, and create a marketplace that enables the economic success of all its participants.What you'll do:The Observability team designs, builds, and operates a highly scalable, robust, and real-time observability infrastructure which allows X’s engineering teams to measure, visualize, alarm, investigate, and optimize all manner of issues related to X’s platform, infrastructure, and services. Our systems collect and process billions of metrics and evaluate millions of alerts per minute in real-time. To do so, we leverage a number of internally developed services that have been purpose-built to meet our demanding scale, latency, and reliability requirements. We are mission critical to X so can’t afford any downtime. Operating our own systems at hyper growth levels is a rewarding challenge, it is what helps make us great. We are a tight-knit and passionate team that values fast pace, innovation, creativity, and a strong commitment to our mission. Come help us keep X online by providing metrics, tracing, logging, and alerting for all hardware and software services at X.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient systems for Observability at X (metrics, logging, tracing)Collaborating with other X engineering teams to develop new features and integrations with X internal services and frameworksWriting clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented codeEnsuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our backend systemsTroubleshooting and debuggingMentoring junior engineers, multiplying the effectiveness of the team by providing code and design reviews, setting the bar for quality high, and defining the team’s software development best practicesStaying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the Observability spaceWho you are:We're looking for exceptional engineers who are passionate about our mission and have a strong desire to make a meaningful impact.
