Job Summary:
The Director of Recruiting will provide leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to the recruiting team and hiring managers. They would be responsible for developing and executing strategic talent acquisition strategies for Executive 1 Holding Company and its subsidiaries while simultaneously ensuring the policies and standards of our organization are being met. This is a player/coaching position with emphasis on growth and development of the talent acquisition team and function. This will be a hybrid role, with time required on-site in McLean, VA and opportunity for remote work.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Develop and mentor talent acquisition staff.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department ensuring optimal proactive talent pipeline creation and successful hiring of all positions.
Set performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain pipelines of talent for positions.
Partner with senior leadership to identify current and future hiring needs.
Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies and metrics that result in client satisfaction.
Develop and implement hiring manager training to ensure efficiency and compliance throughout the recruiting and hiring process.
Promote a positive candidate experience throughout the talent acquisition process.
Develop strategies to enhance employer branding and attract top talent.
Establish, monitor, and report on key recruitment metrics reflecting quality, cost, and effectiveness of talent acquisition practices. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and address staffing needs.
Work closely with the recruiting team to identify and implement best practices and aid on critical needs including the recommendation of talent acquisition and management systems and other talent acquisition platforms.
Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of recruiting methods, best practices, applicable policies, and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Thorough understanding of federal compliance requirements and best practices.
Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles, and technical skills.
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) PayCom, TopEchelon preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
10 years of recruiting experience including 3 years technical recruiting experience for positions requiring Security Clearance.
Minimum 5 years manager level or above leading talent acquisition teams.
SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
Requirements:
Authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a Moderate Background Investigation.
Ability to work on-site in McLean, VA.
