Virtual Educator Applications and Vetting Consultant

provides applications and vetting support for the U.S. Department of State (DOS) funded English Language Programs (ELP), administered by the Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED) at Georgetown University (GU). The role supports the objectives of the ELP Virtual Educator Applications and Vetting unit, including reviewing applications, vetting applicants, and writing project documents.

Duties include but are not limited to:Fully review (through all four stages of the review process) candidate applications completed on the ELP application review portal.Maintain the electronic data and progress tracker tools such as the Review Status of Applicants Google Sheet.Write applicant blurbs summarizing the applicant's skills and experience per their resume and application.Create project description documents based on information provided by the embassies on the application portal.Maintain regular correspondence with the Applications and Vetting team to relay any issues or concerns occurring during the application review process.Perform other activities, as requested by the U.S. Department of State.Work InteractionsThe Virtual Educator Applications and Vetting Consultant reports to the Virtual Educator Vetting and Implementation Manager and collaborates with the applications and vetting coordinators to align efforts with approved DOS objectives.Requirements and QualificationsMaster's Degree in TESOL or related field.Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a TESOL educator (K-12 or college classroom teaching; teacher training).Experience reviewing and vetting applications.Excellent writing and editing skills with exceptional data management skills, including reporting.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software & Google Workspace applications.Alumnus or alumna of the U.S. Department of State English Language Fellow, Specialist, or Virtual Educator Programs.Experience living and working overseas.Work Mode DesignationThis position has been designated as
