Company Description
Our client is an established, international, rapidly growing middle market investment bank and financial advisory firm. The Special Situations / Restructuring and Capital Advisory Group is a well-regarded and versatile group within the firm, with transactions and assignments split almost evenly across M&A sell-side advisory, capital advisory, and strategic distressed and turnaround consulting.
Position Description
Heavily involved in all aspects of restructuring M&A, capital advisory transactions and turnaround consulting engagements.
Work directly with client senior management teams, board members and stakeholders throughout all phases of distressed transaction and/or engagement advisory and execution.
Drive advisory engagement processes and deal team execution as a player/coach; oversee and mentor team members.
Contribute to new business development efforts with pitch development and presentations to private equity sponsors, as well as prospective operating company and corporate clients.
Involved in all steps of new client pitches, transaction structurings, go-to-market and deal execution processes, negotiations and executions.
Support senior investment bankers during transaction execution and advisory assignments.
Participate in client, transaction, advisory and new business meetings.
Perform financial analyses, complex financial modeling and valuations across M&A advisory, capital raising and advisory projects and transactions.
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, turnaround consulting, restructuring (operational or financial), select private credit / leveraged finance, equity or principal investing.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
Critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyze companies and their financial information.
Proficient modeling, financial analysis, written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in accounting and finance.
Strong business acumen.
Assertive, self-motivated and desire to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
M.B.A. or undergraduate Business degree from a top-tier program/school and outstanding academic record.
