The employee must be self-driven, outcomes oriented, and able to demonstrate quality work within a fast paced environment, so as to meet productivity as it aligns with our stewardship value. A good candidate is also someone who is highly collaborative and able to see the “big picture”. There is need for strong communication between OT/PT/PTA/COTA/SLP, as well as other care team members such as physician, nursing and CM/SW. One must be comfortable, willing, and capable to work as a team, as well as work independently, but pull in assist when needed.The Acute Therapy department at Good Samaritan focuses on acute inpatient therapy in ICU, PCU, Med/Surg, ED, ortho, total joint replacements, neuro, and podiatry. MultiCare utilizes EPIC for all electronic medical records. The full-time position is benefitted (Medical, Dental, Vision, Continuing Education, PTO, sick time). Full-time employees are required to work 3 Holidays per year and are randomized for equity’s sake.FTE:

DaysPosition SummaryThe Physical Therapist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, evaluating, planning, and implementing medically prescribed treatment programs for patients to restore functions, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease or injury. This professional-level position gives you the capacity for independent operations as you apply discretion and good judgment toward ensuring high-quality therapeutic care.

Responsibilities

You will perform well in stress and emergency situations

You will perform patient evaluations/re-evaluations, establish a treatment plan, and modify the treatment plan according to the needs of the patient and response to treatment

You will perform treatment interventions for outpatient and/or inpatient population as directed

You will perform documentation in the medical record that is timely and accurate

You will communicate well with patients, peers, other health professionals in the coordination of care for the patients

Requirements

Successful completion of state board examination

Currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Washington

Experience in orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac patient management desirable
