Position Summary

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Providing program support duties such as assisting program clientele in person and on the telephone.Ensuring conformance to established formats, time frames and regulations.Establishing and maintaining complex recordkeeping systems including indexed and cross-referenced materials for the work unit considering confidentiality and accessibility of information and storage space available.Coordinating and participating in preparation of the schedule of classes for academic programs and relay finalized schedule to the Admissions & Records Office.Collect, compile and record preliminary information from spreadsheets or other computerized files.Assisting in resolving conflicting requests for instructional space.Working with a variety of general office equipment; utilizing various computer programs such as Workday, Word, Excel PowerPoint, Anaplan and MyCSN.Required Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical and administrative support experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records and files; preparing a variety of materials using a personal computer or word processor; assisting customers in completing forms and applications; and/or performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff;

OR

one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service;

OR

an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications

Ability to multi-task.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Excellent interpersonal communications skills.Scheduled Weekly Hours

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, subject to flex based on organizational needs.

Starting Salary

Grade 25 Step 1 -$42,636.96

Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
