Job Description

What you'd be doing in this role:

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:the seamless operation of our core Accounting Systems which includes our ERP Netsuite as well as our Revenue and Payroll systemslead a talented team, driving strategic initiatives and collaborating to develop and deliver solution designs, using your influence to guide system enablement teams to align with IT architecture and strategy guidelines that have been setwork closely with our IT teams to execute goals that elevate Canva's operations and help our teams maximise the use of our data, tools, and technologiesbringing expertise in identifying, monitoring and mitigating IT-related SOX risks, ensuring that our reporting is accurate and reliable, and that our IT operations are secure and resilient.This isn't just about keeping the lights on, its driving innovation, optimising performance and making a real impact on our business.

You're probably a match if:

You will possess a strong background in technology, you thrive and gain energy in solving complex, unique and diverse problems for the stakeholders you work withDemonstrated expertise with ERP systems such as Netsuite and a strong knowledge in revenue recognition and payroll systemsDemonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and coach a high-performing teamYou will have strong experience in finance systems management, with past experience in a public company or have gone through the IPO processSOX experience and a strong understanding of technology trends, digital transformation and IT project managementAbout the team:

As part of the Business Platforms sub-group that sits within the IT Group, the Core Accounting Systems team supports the evaluation, implementation, administration, and ongoing innovation of the technology stack across the Finance and Accounting domains. We strive to enable Canva to run as the best and most valuable company in the world and our team is solving some of Canva's biggest challenges by automating and improving the quality of our Finance processes to allow our employees to do their best work at a place they love. At Canva we value fairness, and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region. We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience and our overall assessment of what we observed and learnt in the hiring process. The target salary range for this position is $154,000 to $237,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
