HF Rubber Machinery, Inc., a subsidiary of the HF Mixing Group, is the global leader in the manufacturing of rubber and plastic processing equipment. HFRM, based in Topeka, Kansas is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, a positive and professional image, ability to work with all levels of employees, excellent organizational skills and be a self-starter with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.

The QA Inspector is responsible for inspecting HFRM materials and products manufactured or processed which includes sheet steel or welded parts, machine shop parts, Sub-contracted components and metal castings for conformance to specifications.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Examine materials or products for surface defects such as cracks, pits and incomplete welds.practice safe material handling when operating equipment such as cranes and forklifts.Compare completed product with blueprint to ensure proper completion of product assembly.Verify specified dimensions of products and/or materials.Inspect, test and/or measure materials or finished product with, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and various gauges.Document and record accurate inspection results.Accept or reject finished items.Discuss inspection results with appropriate personnel.Prepare and submit reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Technical degree or military-equivalent training preferred.Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferredIntermediate computer and word processing skills, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Software.Ability to effectively communicate, present information and answer questions clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.Ability to analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons or facts of information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.Ability to organize, multi-task, plan, set priorities and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and in team settings.Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of HFRM.Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
