Job Description
Conduct research on and apply accounting standards for complex transactions or assist in implementing newly issued accounting standards.Manage relationships with multiple external accounting service providers, ensuring services are delivered accurately and on time.Review financial statements to ensure they are accurate and comply with GAAP.Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring audit findings are resolved promptly.Analyze and assess accounting implications and contractual reporting requirements for specific legal agreements.Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in the US and with global parent company.Provide coaching and supervise specific workstreams handled by the accounting associate.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years Accounting experiencePublic accounting/audit experience neededRenewable/Energy/Infrastructure/Power & Utilities industry experience preferredCPA nice to haveImpeccable attention to detailDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow through on completion of high-profile projectsAdvanced Excel skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat's on Offer
