Emergency Medical Technician
We are immediately hiring full-time Emergency Medical Technicians in Decatur. Qualified applicants may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 relocation bonus if they live outside of Macon County. If you currently reside within Macon County, you may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Compensation: $78,000 per year (based on full-time local schedule) with employee benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action following progressive EMT protocols.
- Utilize EMT skills and medical equipment to provide advanced patient care.
- Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
- Act as the EMT team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
- Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- State EMT Certification
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certification
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
