Provider Data Analyst II

Location:

Mariposa County, California; Merced County, California; Monterey County, California; San Benito County, California; Santa Cruz County, California or Remote in California

We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as a Provider Data Analyst II in the Operations Management Department.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORReporting to the Provider Data Manager, this position:

Supports the overall accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Alliance's provider data

Supports the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Alliance's provider applications

Performs data analysis and research to support provider data management strategies

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Experience performing provider data configuration in a Medi-Cal managed care setting

Experience using SQL for data analysis

Balance working both independently and collaboratively

Ability to organize work, manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, respond to changing priorities, pay close attention to detail and achieve goals and objectives

Demonstrates a strong capacity to rapidly acquire new skills and knowledge, adapting efficiently to changing environments and challenges.

Knowledge of:

Managed care concepts

Analytical and research techniques

Healthcare terminology, provider types and classifications, provider data terminology, and other regulatory standards

Principles and practices of software configuration, including the methods and techniques of using SQL for data analysis

Data transmission, provider file formats, such as 274, provider rosters, provider directories, HIPAA, and data analysis

Ability to:

Identify and troubleshoot issues, collect, analyze and interpret data, identify alternative solutions, make recommendations for action and prepare written reports

Organize work, manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, respond to changing priorities, pay close attention to detail and achieve goals and objectives

Collect, interpret, and evaluate data

Analyze and write process maps, work instructions and documentation

Compile and present information and reports to internal stakeholders

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business Administration or a related field

Three years of experience in a managed care setting performing provider data configuration (a Master's degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

OTHER INFORMATION

We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.

While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.

In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Typical areas in Zone 1: Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles area, San Diego area

Typical areas in Zone 2: Fresno area, Central Valley (with the exception of Sacramento), Eastern California, Eureka area

Zone 1 (Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz) $66,450-$106,330 USD Zone 2 (Mariposa and Merced) $60,470-$96,762 USD
