Taft is currently seeking an Accounting Lead to join our Accounting team in our Indianapolis office.We are seeking an Accounting Lead with at least 5 years' experience to support our Indianapolis Accounting department. All Taft employees operate under a "Client First" philosophy-in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises local accounting staff in Indianapolis, primarily in the functions of billing, cash application/accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Addresses questions related to billing and cash application.
Review billing reports and invoices for accuracy.
Ensure month end posting is completed for all accounts payable and cash posting.
Ensures internal controls and audit trail documentation procedures are followed.
Supports staff and ensures balanced workloads.
Knowledge Abilities, Skills, Interpersonal and Other Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to juggle multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's (B.A) degree in accounting or Finance or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of five years' experience in accounting or finance; payroll and supervisory experience strongly preferred.
