OCHIN is excited to support our continued national expansion and the increasing demand for our innovative tools and services by welcoming new talent to our growing team.Position OverviewThe Senior Epic HB Analyst supports the mission of OCHIN though complex configurations to support the Epic applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software for our member clinics. This role consults with members and internal staff to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient workflows, with a focus on quality financial outcomes for our member organizations.Essential DutiesPerform complex build and configuration in Epic and related products.Operate in OCHIN's Member Care Team framework as a key contributor to the overall goals of the team support model.Lead working sessions with OCHIN members to resolve advanced and complex integration work orders.Discuss and provide workflow solutions and ensure understanding of the system through hands on training.Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on applications across the organization.Lead and mentor other analysts on complex interdepartmental project work.Document build specifications, team processes and complex clinic workflows.QA complex builds, Quarterly Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.Collaborate with members from other OCHIN teams to address integration issues.Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives and Dress Rehearsals as needed.Lead trainings and workgroups for members.Develop and share workflow best practices.Travel to support off-site software installations as needed, estimated up to 15%.Provide support to inpatient clinic staff with the potential need for after-hoursAssist Project Managers in identifying system capabilities.Build, design, test, and document functionality of new system features.Provide process improvements within your application or team.Lead and manage multiple competing projects simultaneously, defining, delegating and managing build deliverables for themselves and other revenue cycle analysts as needed.Perform complex build and configuration in Epic, external financial clearinghouses, and related products.Serve as Subject Matter Expert for project scoping, technical design, and process improvementConsult with installing member billing offices, identifying existing billing workflows, reviewing claim examples and provided regulatory requirements, and suggesting build solutions to mitigate potential process gaps.Translate and design customized Epic financial build logic when standard options are not available.Provide weekly financial updates and project status reports throughout the life of each projectAct as project and technical consultantAbility to work and communicate effectively across role types at customer organizations, including ability to lead strategic discussions with executive points of contactAttend go-lives, leading ad hoc decision-making conversations from the command or billing centers as appropriateOther duties as assigned.
RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in similar or relevant role.Work history in Healthcare IT is required.Minimum of 2 applicable certifications/proficiencies with preference given to Epic Resolute HB, HB Claims, SBO, PB or PB ClaimsEpic certification in Epic Resolute HB is required, HB Claims certification is a preferred.Bachelor's Degree (Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science preferred) or a combination of college education and 5-7 years of relevant experience.The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an Epic Applications Analyst,
with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Epic implementation build and expertise in Hospital charging.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong communication skills - able to communicate with both application and technical team members, as well as end users.Consistently acts with integrity and accountability.Process and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.Proactive, self-motivated, and solution oriented.Strong organizational and project management skills.COVID-19 Vaccination RequirementTo keep our colleagues, members, and communities safe, OCHIN requires all employees-including remote employees, contractors, interns, and new hires-to be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine, as supported by state and federal public health officials, as a condition of employment.
