Description
Are you a strong swimmer? Do you enjoy being able to provide supervision and safety for youth, adults, and families in a pool environment? If so, the YMCA of Central Massachusetts, Boroughs Family Branch is looking for you to join our amazing Aquatics team!
**Lifeguard Certification is required; however, we offer lifeguard certification courses, and reach out to students in the course about job opportunities. Candidates must successfully complete and pass the lifeguarding course prior to being hired for the position. If interested in taking a lifeguard certification course, please reach out to Karin Anderson, Association Senior Aquatics Director, by emailing her at kanderson@ymcaofcm.org.
Job Duties:
Provide supervision for the pool and surrounding areasMaintain the pool and surrounding area, ensuring that is safe for all YMCA membersDocument and report any safety concerns or broken equipment in the pool and surrounding areasAttend all staff trainings and maintain appropriate certifications for the positionOther duties as assigned by the Aquatics DirectorJob Requirements:
Must be currently lifeguard certified and able to present lifeguard certificationMust be at least 16 years old

Pay:
$15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
