The Role
As a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will collaborate with a global team of Software Engineers to deliver robust applications. We prioritize proven database developers who are eager to expand their knowledge and are passionate about their work.
The Expertise and Skills You BringExperience: 8+ years as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.Database Skills: Strong RDBMS expertise, including SQL querying, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and user privileges.Problem Solving: Excellent data analysis, design, and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn in a collaborative environment.Performance Tuning: Experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.ETL Processes: Familiarity with ETL processes for loading large data volumes (e.g., SQL Loader).Linux Environment: Basic knowledge of Unix commands and experience working in a Linux environment.Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile teams.Programming Knowledge: Knowledge of Core Java and Python, along with scheduling tools like Control-M is a plus.Database Modeling: Experience in database modeling.AWS Cloud: Familiarity with AWS Cloud is a plus.Financial Industry Experience: Strong analysis and design skills in the Financial Industry, preferably in Capital Markets/Securities Finance; 5+ years in the financial sector is advantageous.Industry Terminology: Understanding of financial industry glossaries and terminologies.Collaboration: Ability to work independently and in teams, delivering end-to-end solutions.Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical teams and business partners.Adaptability: Quick learner, adaptable, and motivated to work across teams to deploy solutions.The TeamYou will be part of the Prime Services Technology team, responsible for the management and development of systems supporting the Prime Brokerage business within Client Capital Markets. Client Capital Markets serves a wide array of clients, including buy-side institutions and hedge funds, offering trading products and services across multiple asset classes such as equities, fixed income, options, FOREX, prime brokerage, securities lending, and more.
