# of L&D Beds 11# of OR Suites 2# of triage beds 4# of Postpartum beds 25# of births per day, per year 220 per monthDo ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? That is our goalRequired Certifications NRP, BLS, ACLS-beginning Jan 2023Common diagnoses/Types of patients Active labor, post partum, gestational hypertension, GDMExperience or 'Must have' skills Circulate in the ORAre RNs required to titrate drips? yesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, InsulinCharge Nurse/House Supervisor BothAre there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? 2 surgical techs 24 hours a day, LPN (2 on days 1 on nights)OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? Yes to both, 24 hour anesthesia in house as wellRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) NoIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? noEFM System ObixShifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts, 7-7:30Weekend Requirement yesHoliday RequirementIs there a call or standby requirement? Not for travel RN sFloating RequirementsScrub Color/Dress code Navy blue. There are jackets and scrubs that are provided by the hospital for L&D Nurses.
