Job Description

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE TO ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN AVAILABLE

Position Overview:

This role is part of the Amcor Rigid Packaging ("ARP") Business Group ("BG") and reports to the Director, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting. The critical responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Manage and oversee the financial analysis, forecast, operating plan, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Lead the monthly management reporting process, including variance analysis of data submissions from ARP Business Units ("BUs") and loading of forecast data / month end deliverables into applicable consolidation systems
  • Drive improvements in financial processes, analytical reviews, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives
  • Support processes for establishing, measuring and delivering upon ARP BG level financial objectives; deliver information and analysis to support proactive management decision making

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Internal Financial Reporting- Responsible for review of submitted information, coordination with regional and BU staff, financial analysis, and preparation ofthe monthly executive reporting packages. Includes exposure to ARP BG & Amcor Ltd Group executive management teams.
  • Board/Other Presentations- Assist with executive level presentations for monthly / quarterly business reviews, annual operating plan and annual strategic plan.
  • Annual Strategic and Operating Plans- Ownership of processes impacting the annual strategic and operating plans. Position is responsible for communicating expectations, managing planning meetings with the BUs, loading centralized adjustments and obtaining alignment on plan assumptions / financial targets.
  • Special Projects- Assist the Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting, Corporate Controller and/or BG CFO with special projects as needed.
  • Internal Controls - Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of ARP BG, Amcor plc and applicable local statutory / regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance required, Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of increased responsibility within FP&A function, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience working in large, complex and multi-currency / multi-national environment
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis and management reporting
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems, such as Hyperion and/or SAP BPC
  • Professional with strong overall business acumen
  • Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of clearly articulating thoughts
  • Effective team player who interacts well with others
  • Strong integrity and ethics
  • Limited travel requirements
