Description:

Responsible for the overall and day-to-day operations of the Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU). Coordinates input from upper level management to ensure operational objectives are met. Assists in the development of policies, procedures and protocols directly related to the Specialty Care transport service line. Accountable for the implementation and enforcement of all SFH and SFH EMS policies, procedures and protocols by Specialty Care staff. Serves as the liaison between SCTU personnel and upper level management. Position requires constant monitoring and investigation of problems related to SCTU services.

Saint Francis Healthcare is looking for experienced Lieutenant to join our EMS Wilmington division!

Responsibilities include:

Coordinates input from upper level management to ensure operational objectives are met.

Assists in the development of policies, procedures and protocols directly related to the Specialty Care transport service line.

Accountable for the implementation and enforcement of all SFH and SFH EMS policies, procedures and protocols by Specialty Care staff.

Serves as the liaison between SCTU personnel and upper level management.

Position requires constant monitoring and investigation of problems related to SCTU services.

Minimum Qualifications (Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification/Skills ) :

  • State of Delaware EMT-B

National Registry EMT-B

Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s or equivalent preferred; considerable experience as a pre-hospital supervisor or public safety administrator; meets or exceeds current standards for Critical Care Paramedic II / FTO; instructorships preferred in: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, PHTLS to facilitate subordinate training and education; current BCLS certification; completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Course (EVOC); current driver’s license.
