Food Safety and Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal quality audit function and corrective action process
  • Coordinate HACCP and manage recalls
  • Lead on-site product risk assessment and management plan
  • Attend leadership meetings to drive continuous improvement in sanitation, food safety, and quality
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with USDA, FDA, and local authorities
  • Develop site-specific programs for GMP's, SSOP's, and allergen control
  • Conduct site-specific training programs for employees
  • Manage HACCP and SSOP validations and verifications
  • Coordinate with 3rd party labs for testing as needed
  • Prepare for 3rd party audits and supplier audits
  • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure food safety and raw material compliance
  • Supervise sanitation activities and/or crew
  • Internal relationship management and oversight of external relationships with various agencies, vendors, and customers
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience leading plant food safety program
  • 5+ years' experience in a food service processing & distribution environment
  • Training in food safety, sanitation, and USDA quality troubleshooting
