Position Summary:
The RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides specialized nursing care for critically ill or injured pediatric patients during night shifts. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing complex care plans while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing advanced medical procedures.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for critically ill pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients' families, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed about the patient's condition and treatment.
  • Document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and responses, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensure: Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • Certifications:
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
    • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

Schedule:
Full Time, Night Shifts
