Hiring Range $122,915.42 to $167,984.40

Pay Range $122,915.42 to $190,518.90

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is responsible for providing direct customer-owner care in an assigned area of Behavioral Services. This position is a consult based service in which we provide: focused assessments, chart reviews, co-visits, and curbside consults for primary care physicians to support psychiatric needs.

Qualifications:

  1. Current Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or American Nurse Credentialing Center, (NP) with added qualifications in psychiatry.
  2. Minimum two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a multi-disciplinary setting, with prescriptive privileges OR successful completion of a behavioral health clinical rotation within the Southcentral Foundation system or comparable medical system.
  3. Must have a current valid Alaska license.
  4. Credentialing organizations must be covered by the requirements of the State of Alaska Board of Nursing.
  5. Must be eligible for DEA certification.
  6. Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
  7. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS as required for the specialty.
  8. Specialized expertise in psychopharmacology.
