Distribution Material Handler/Back Up Driver

DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (not limited to)Use of hand held computer to receive incoming and outgoing freightPicking product for Customer Orders and staging for loadingLoading orders on semi-trucksUnloading stock onto rackingInspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition to ensure truck is safeCheck Load and secure to D.O.T. Regulations. Make sure the load is safe and legal before movingDrive truck safely and legally to customer locations and returnOpen curtains, unstrap product, count and check product for damage and shortagesAssist receivers in unloading and loading the truckMaintains driver logs and inspection reports according to D.O.T. regulationsMaintain a professional image at all timesMust be able to be forklift certified to aid in loading, unloading, and general warehouse workMust be able to work flexible scheduleQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
