The PeriOp101 program utilizes a blended learning approach to build the core foundation of perioperative nursing knowledge. Nurses in the program complete online learning modules, attend classroom lectures, and apply clinical knowledge under the guidance of preceptors in the operating room. Program utilizes the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Periop 101: A Core Curriculum combined with dedicated educators and preceptors to train new perioperative nurses in a structured and rigorous program with extensive time commitment which includes homework, textbook reading assignments, presentations, and assessments. Participants earn over 40 CEUs and AORN Periop 101 Certificate of Completion after completion of modules and passing comprehensive exam.

Expectations:

The program is 3-5 months of training which will consist of classroom modules and clinical skills labs, with hands on care of the perioperative patient. The RN must have the ability to work with members of the peri-operative team. The RN must have excellent communication and observational skills.Must be willing to sign a 2-year commitment.This position is full time, days, no weekends, no holidays and no call is required. Five 8-hour shifts will be assigned during the program and after successful completion Four 10-hour shifts with a floating day off will be assigned.Upon full completion of the course and successful completion of the competency exam the Orientee will obtain the role of a Circulating RN.Qualifications:

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, and BLS required.ACLS required within 3 months of hire.1-2 years' experience as an RNAt FOI our goal is to provide our patients with world-class orthopedic care.
