The primary responsibility of this role involves guiding and leading the validation of new technologies. The Engineer will work directly with Product Development, Research, Engineers, Strategy, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Marketing to understand, test, and evaluate these technologies for applicability in manufacturing new and innovative products.Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Formula/Process/Packaging Proving and ScalingUnderstand product and manufacturing requirements and evaluate new technology requirements.Collect, validate, and analyze complex test and experimental data.Understand scale-up requirements and translate data to a manufacturing solution.Prepare manufacturing feasibility assessments and order of magnitude capital cost estimates for new technologies and required systems.Provide an understanding of the impact of key processing parameters of this new technology.Lead a multifunctional team in the identification and development of new process technologies.Understand ingredient and in-process conversions and critical parameters to ensure consistent manufacturing solutions.Provide guidance to Product Development, R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain personnel throughout the commercialization process.Communicate and present validation findings to technical, commercial, and supply chain teams through reports and presentations.Provide documentation to increase the success rate of new technology implementation.Ensure applicability across regions and product types.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Experience leading a multifunctional team in the validation and development of new technologies.Knowledge of key steps in the development of capital projects, including commercialization, equipment selection, equipment acquisition, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Understanding the impact of key processing parameters in converting raw ingredients to finished products.Excellent leadership, decision-making, technical troubleshooting, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Must be open to and comfortable with change and execute projects in a timely manner.Willing to travel (including internationally) based on assignment.BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Food, or Agricultural Engineering.Minimum Experience Requirements:

10-14 years in Process Engineering and/or Product Commercialization.Minimum 7 years of experience in the Confectionery, Food, Consumer Goods, and/or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.Experience in leading the Product Commercialization and Process Engineering portions of multiple projects.Experience with scale-up, PFDs, GMPs, estimating, and design.Expert knowledge of the interactions of ingredients and process unit operations.Experience in developing new machine or process systems from concept to delivery.Experience with factory installation and commissioning of semi-automatic to fully automatic high-speed manufacturing process equipment.Skills and Certifications:
