Job Details

A global moving services provider is looking to hire a Household Goods Moving Team Lead to join their team in Houston, TX.You'll act as a Team Lead within the household goods moving division responsible for managing the full door-to-door household goods shipping and relocation process for corporate assignees. The Household Goods Moving Team Lead will be required to develop successful relationships with clients, assignees, and team members proactively managing their international relocation and moving needs in addition to some leadership duties.

Duties Include:

Act as the Team Lead for the household goods moving team, responsible for ensuring they meet and exceed KPIs and SLAs.Manage full moving and relocation services including the full coordination of household goods shipping, ensuring consistency in services and client satisfaction.Handle an assigned caseload of assignees during their relocation, overseeing door-to-door home moves.Manage the team's holiday/PTO handover and coverage, ensuring meetings take place prior and report to the Director.Act as a subject matter expert to lead, manage, and support the moving services team members.Create reporting data for the Director on team performance, KPIs, SLAs, and vendor performance.Develop relationships with clients, shipping, and relocation vendors whilst building an in-depth knowledge of assigned clients' policies, cultures, and service requirements.Ensure shipping customs requirements and restrictions are adhered to for international relocations and household goods moving.Proactively communicate with assignees, colleagues, and vendors throughout the household goods moving and relocation phase.Collaborate with internal and external customers and authorized service providers to ensure compliance with all Service Level Agreements and KPIs.Proactively manage and implement moving services according to approved pricing, logistics, and policy guidelines.Coordinate and manage third-party suppliers, reserving, booking, and auditing services.Monitor inboxes, respond to queries, and provide quotes as required.Undertake various financial management tasks, including overseeing the billing and invoicing for services, analyzing sales data, and generating financial reports relating to sales.Update the company technology platform and deliver high-quality data to their clients.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Experience managing household goods moving, shipping, and relocation processes both internationally and domestically.Previous experience dealing with import and export shipments via air, road, and sea freight.Excellent organizational skills.Strong supply chain management skills.Strong knowledge of international relocations and moving.A positive, team-focused, 'can-do' attitude.The ability to manage and resolve conflicts or high-pressure situations.Excellent working proficiency of Microsoft Office programs.
