Product Manager Position

Moog Medical Devices Division (MMDD) is looking for a Product Manager. You will manage the product across its entire lifecycle, overseeing all phases of research, design, development, and design for our exciting line of products. You will engage with a team to determine customer requirements, define the product’s vision, bring our strategy and roadmap, and meet customer satisfaction and revenue goals. You will work with partners to identify new markets and product opportunities and communicate progress to leaders. You will oversee the commercial vision and strategic direction of their respective product line(s) while ensuring that the product meets the needs of the customer. You will work with the Marketing team to develop a competitive position through identification of marketing opportunities, sustainable product/technology advantages, and a working relationship with distributors and the MMDD sales organization. Lastly, you will collaborate with internal project teams to bring products to market, address quality and service related issues, and work with the product management team to resolve major customer problems. You will report to the Director of Clinical and Marketing Programs in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Product Manager, here's what you'll need to bring with you:Bachelors of Science/Bachelors of Arts in Business/Marketing and at least two (2) years of experience in a Medical Device field, or MBA Degree with at least 2 years experience in Sales/Marketing, or Bachelors of Science with at least two (2) years in Healthcare experience.Project Management – experience managing multiple simultaneous projects to support product development, marketing plan implementation and resolving customer issues.Product Development Process – ability to work with a product development team to bring products to market including the documentation required for regulatory approval, product introduction, and customer satisfaction.Market Research– knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, understanding of basic research approaches, research design and a firm grasp of statistical analysis.Marketing Communications – ability to design messaging and the implementation of strategies and initiatives.Pricing – understanding of generic pricing strategies, including determining price sensitivity, margin and break-even sales analysis, and economic value analysis.Product Prowess – understanding the theory of operation, applications, and customer needs (existing and emerging).Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

As a Product Manager you will:Create and implement a product and/or strategic marketing plan for our product line, including:Target market identification (what markets, segments, problems to solve and needs to meet)Articulation of a market position (source of differentiation, provision of competitive analysis)Identify product line requirementsSuggestions on pricing strategy – list prices, discount levels, tiers, sale vs. lease, etc.Support the go-to-market strategyCreate communications objectives and issues that need to be addressed in a communications planStay current on necessary clinical literature and communicate important findings to the sales force and ManagementHelp prioritize sustaining engineering activities, activities related to product inventory and demand, lifecycle management.Manage upstream marketing responsibilities including new product development, product line extensions, launch plan development and execution.Actively participate as a member of new product development teams and launching new productsCreate customer requirements documents using voice of the customer (VOC) research and other market research toolsStay current on key clinical literature and communicate important findings to the sales force and Management.
