Come grow with us!General Purpose and Scope of Position:The strategic business analyst is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives and the transformation management office across Wilbur-Ellis with data analytics and financial analysis. Key responsibilities include being a thought partner for project owners to help develop their (financial) business case (project baseline, project value, ROI, and KPIs to track) as well as providing detailed financial analysis to understand the impact on both the division and companywide P&L. This role will help develop and execute the analytics strategy across Wilbur Ellis and would be responsible for solving business problems with a data-driven and strategic approach.Key Skills and Abilities Include:Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectivelyAbility to build and foster strong relationships across divisions and functions with varying interests, perspectives, and directivesAbility to take broad and complex issues, simplify findings and effectively communicate to audiences with limited data/modeling or financial experienceAbility to structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve themAbility to solve business problems with a data-driven and strategic approachExcellent team working and relationship-building skillset to help drive projects toward successStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.Exceptional MS Excel skills requiredExperience with programming languages: SQL /PythonExperience with PowerBI, or other visualization toolsBachelor’s degree required in engineering, data sciences, finance, or economics. MBA a plusMin of 5 years of experience in financial analysis and/or business analytics and/or consulting experienceKey Personal Attributes Include:Experience or affinity with the agriculture industry would be helpfulExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEnjoys a fast-paced work environmentHighly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and a team playerStrong financial acumenEagerness to learn about technology platforms in the agriculture space and develop oneselfSelf-starter with a curiosity to find ways to automate processes over timeStrong organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple prioritiesSpecific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Partner with Project Owners to develop a business case, including calculating project baseline, project value, ROI, KPI, and targetsDeliver detailed financial analyses that quantify the P&L impact on divisions and companywide; perform sensitivity analysis and identify associated risksDevelop analytical models in multiple platforms (Excel, PowerBI, SQL, etc.) across functional areas; examples include customer lifetime value, inventory velocity, product SKU rationalization, and acquisition valuationIdentify key performance indicators for assigned areas, and develop mechanisms to collect and process data required to track performanceWillingness to travel and be away from home (estimated travel = 10%; but, maybe 2-3 days at a time)Compensation:In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $98,800 to $138,270. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
