Job Summary and QualificationsThe Senior Cost Analyst will perform detailed, comprehensive analysis of healthcare supply chain spend. Develops, revises and effectively communicates analytical summaries to identify cost savings opportunities, contract compliance, price parity issues, standardization and utilization opportunities. The analyst will have the ability to acquire, assimilate and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources utilizing a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools.
What you will do in this role includes:
Work collaboratively with HealthTrust team and assigned member(s) to provide analysis, summaries, reports and presentations as assigned.
Lead complex and/or large-scale analytics projects.
Provide training and develop training materials for related systems, processes, reports, analyses and data outputs.
Develop and design new and innovative tools to improve analytics processes or visualization and output of data.
Supervise other analysts, if applicable
Work directly with member to capture and analyze spend data
Complete analysis and reporting per end-user’s specific needs
Serve as point of contact for analytics requests and have regular discussions with requestor to ensure results are completed according to needs
Structure large data sets to find usable information
Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
Serve as subject matter expert for applicable systems and processes and provide training and support to customers and internal team members
Collaborates and communicates with HealthTrust account and embedded resource team to support and track data and key performance indicators for member account plan
Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and other documentation for customers and HealthTrust team
Proactively define and implement efficiencies related to the use of data and reports
Provide document and project management support for meetings as needed
Maintain team SharePoint Site
Participate in departmental project activities or other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Statistics, Technology or related field preferred. Work experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree
3-7 years related work experience as a data, business or financial analyst.
Exposure and familiarity with multiple technology platforms, Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel required, Access or database knowledge a plus.
Proficient with other decision-making software such as Host Analytics, Business Objects, QlikView, Tableau, Microstrategy, Microsoft PowerBI.
Medical product knowledge preferred.
Experience with large data sets preferred.
Healthcare supply chain/GPO knowledge preferred.
Healthcare purchasing or analytics experience preferred.
