Garver is seeking an experienced water industry professional to join the

Water Infrastructure Modeling, Analytics, and Planning (WI-MAP) Team

located in

Atlanta, GA or Denver, CO

as a

Project Manager

for our developing national resource team specializing in planning and conceptual evaluations for water, wastewater, and reuse infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of the technical components of exciting water industry projects. With an opportunity to join an established engineering consulting firm that is rapidly growing throughout the United States, the successful candidate will help lead execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, support regional teams with marketing and business development, participate in industry activities and events, and learn and mentor as part of a growing national resource team.Responsibilities will include a variety of projects related to one or more of the following categories:Water distribution systems, including hydraulic modeling, master planning, pumping and storage evaluations, water quality evaluations, and water loss studies;Wastewater collection systems, including hydraulic modeling, master planning, rainfall-derived infiltration and inflow analyses, and lift station evaluations;Water supply and integrated master planning, including evaluations of surface water supplies, ground water supplies, reuse, and water rights;Water distribution and wastewater collection system asset management, including condition assessment, sanitary sewer evaluation studies, and capital planning;Conveyance systems, including wire-to-water analysis, pumping optimization, transient analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and management of physical modeling projects.Responsibilities will vary in relative volume, and change over time, but will generally include:Project Management and Execution

Lead and support conceptual planning studies as a Planning Phase ManagerManage project schedule, scope, and feeManage quality assurance and risk managementFacilitate workshops with clientsMentor junior staff and coordinate with WI-MAP staff at different office locationsCoordinate with regional team client service managers and project managersCoordinate with Water Design Center personnel through design phases of projects

Business Development Support

Support business development activities, such as client-specific presentationsSupport proposal development effortsSupport scope, fee, and contract development servicesParticipate in professional organization activities, including committees and conferences

Qualified candidates must be capable of performing the following routine functions:Display technical competency of water / wastewater engineering and civil engineeringDevelop and manage detailed project delivery of water infrastructure planning and modeling-related projects, including scope of work, level of effort, and associated man-hour estimatesManage scope, budget, and schedule for a team of WI-MAP personnel in the execution of Water Business Line projectsManage multiple projects concurrentlyBe responsible for time management and work product qualityKeep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projectsConduct written and oral project reporting for regional team client service managers, the WI-MAP team leader, and clients, as necessary. Reporting will include project status, upcoming milestones, project accounting, percent completes, progress reports, etc.Prepare and execute Project Management Plans and Quality Control PlansLead internal and external project workshopsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited programFive or more years of technical experience in water and wastewater with no less than two years of experience in master planning for water and/or wastewater infrastructureSignificant experience in execution of master planning projects and development of capital improvement programsRegistered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to become registered within six months of start of employmentExperience with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Bentley WaterGEMS, Innoyvze InfoWater, Innovyze InfoWorks)Preferred SkillsMaster’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited programExperience leading water supply, water distribution, wastewater collection system, and/or integrated water master planning projects and development of capital improvement programsExperience with asset management programs for buried, linear water and/or wastewater system assets.Experience with rate studies and impact fee assessmentsExperience with water supply planning, water rights permitting, water conservation plans, and drought contingency plansExperience with use of geographical information systems (GIS) for data handling, processing, analysis, and results presentation.Location:

Atlanta, GA or Denver, CO with a preference being near one of Garver’s existing office locations (has to be willing to travel to various locations throughout the United States). Periodic travel will be required on an as-needed basis for projects, conferences, marketing, and other duties.Projected Compensation Range:
