Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Plant Manager at our Tacoma, WA - Gypsum Facility to take on overall operations of this facility with a workforce of around 140 full-time employees including a 30-person leadership team. The Plant Manager leads a team to success while ensuring a safe and injury/incident-free environment in our fast-paced plant. They motivate, coach, and inspire by demonstrating, promoting, and applying Georgia-Pacific's Principles Based Management (PBM) in daily actions and decisions to deliver maximum value to the business and our customers. Embrace and leverage technology to drive innovation and process improvements.Utilize performance data and analytical techniques to identify and realize the greatest opportunities.Embracing and managing change to drive innovation and process improvements.Facilitate team and employee development, problem-solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership, and holding employees accountable.Take accountability for safety, quality, and efficiency through leadership, individual ownership and accountability, teamwork, and delegation.Use critical & economic thinking, challenge process, and team collaboration to resolve issues and drive innovation, efficiency, and safety excellence.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)A minimum of ten (10) years of leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment, -- OR -- six (6) years of leadership experience in the Gypsum industryExperience coaching, counseling, and developing employees.Transformation experience utilizing automation and advanced technology to improve operations.Experience utilizing constraint analysis and continuous improvement tools/processes to prioritize work and solve complex issues.What Will Put You AheadBachelor's Degree or higher in a technical or business ProgramPrevious Gypsum experienceFor this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
