Job Description

Our client is seeking a Facilities & Engineering Manager for their Rhode Island manufacturing plant. As a Facilities & Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for plant maintenance and machine maintenance in a manufacturing facility. You will also provide technical support and troubleshoot processes to keep the plant running efficiently. The Facilities & Engineering Manager will provide maintenance and electrical engineering support for production machinery, equipment, and the physical plant. You will work closely with machine operators for feedback on the operations process and determine how to improve efficiencies and avoid shutdowns.

Position Responsibilities:

Manage the plant maintenance program with special attention to root cause failure analysis to minimize unplanned downtime.

Develop and implement new procedures to improve productivity and quality.

Document processes to standardize plant operations.

Determine facility layout for effective workflow.

Support plant safety and loss control.

Accurately maintain records and report on all equipment reliability issues, implementing cost-effective resolutions to maximize profitability.

Maintain PM program for all equipment.

Proven track record with implementation of TPM programs.

Ensure compliance with all city and county codes.

Adhere to all practices, policies, and procedures according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical).

Lean Principles experience / Six Sigma.

8+ years of relevant manufacturing experience (plant & facilities engineering and maintenance).

Defect detection, gauge control, controls/programming experience preferred.

Experience with hazardous waste materials handling and disposal.

Involvement with complex problem-solving projects, from leading to participation.

Leadership experience with business teams, cross-functional, and operation-based.

Capable of planning and executing projects involved with new technologies.

Predictive Maintenance.

SCADA Systems.

AutoCAD.

Knowledge of OSHA, EDA, DOT regulations.

Team member issue resolution.
