efforts through a partnership with the Fairfax County Courts, Fairfax County Sheriff's Office, Virginia Department of Corrections, Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney's Office, Office of the Public Defender, and various community providers.

This position is part of a multi-agency team and works alongside professionals from all Fairfax County Diversion First agencies. The Treatment Coordinator’s role on this team is to serve as a clinical evaluator and primary treatment coordinator for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health disorders in the Veterans Treatment Docket program. Duties include completing intake assessment and diagnostic formation, risk assessment, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, care coordination, and advocacy and linkage to appropriate level of care and services in the community to include Veterans Affairs, other CSB programs, community treatment programs, peer organizations and other recovery supports. Will also create and manage group and family treatment to diagnostically, culturally, and socio-economically diverse individuals.

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of community resources and be able to effectively navigate resources in the interest of the individual. This position requires a commitment to high quality customer service to justice involved individuals and will have regular contact with individuals in the court, the jail, and the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited college with a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing; plus two years of clinical experience.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

Possession of a current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following:Licensed Clinical Social Worker,Licensed Professional Counselor,Clinical Psychologist,Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist,Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner orClinical Nurse Specialist.CPR/First Aid (Required within 3 months)Qualified Mental Health Professional Adult (QMHP-A) (within 1 month of hire)Qualified Mental Health Case Manager (QMHCM) (within 1 month of hire)

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter. Requires a National Provider Identifier.

This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

At least two years of experience providing behavioral health services in community settings.Experience working within the criminal justice system (ex: courts, jail, probation)Experience with providing behavioral health services to individuals receiving treatment with mental health disorders, substance use disorders (SUD) and/or co-occurring disorders (COD).Experience working with Veterans and Veteran organizations.Experience with and ability to interpret and follow work processes and procedures; work well with other service agencies; and work well in a team environment.Strong organizational and time management skills; and strong clinical skills and abilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to walk significant distances within multiple buildings, climb stairs, and respond to physical requirements, necessary to comply with security and safety regulations. Ability to attend offsite meetings and trainings. Communicate effectively orally and in writing and observe, process, and document clinical information. Ability to access, input, and retrieve computer data. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
