TxDOT Project Manager

in

Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, Houston, Austin or San Antonio . As TxDOT Project Manager, you will lead the building of TxDOT market share using your TxDOT design experience and TxDOT network.Provide supervision to engineers, engineering technicians, designers, drafting personnel, etc., assigned to transportation projects. Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality.Lead design teams and represent Freese and Nichols on medium to large transportation projects.Coordinate with the transportation staff on transportation projects: roadway, bridges, culverts, transportation planning, traffic control, signing, pavement marking, H&H design, and environmental coordination.Develop relationships with the client.Direct and supervise complex studies and investigations including schematics, PS&E, and environmental coordination for transportation projects.Project quality deliverables to the client by following the Freese and Nichols quality program.Determine and schedule required project. Evaluate and analyze project decisions to ensure objectivity, soundness of design, and impact of those decisions on schedule, budget, and needs.Maintain established schedule. Keep the Group Manager abreast of all project activities, responding promptly to needs, problems, or requests associated with project design.Remain state-of-the-art on existing and pending regulations and related technological advancements.Serve as Project Manager for large complex projects requiring intergroup skills and consultants.Participate in the administration, interpretation, and implementation of contracts.Prepare memos, reports, specifications, etc. Knowledge of TxDOT specs a plus. Responsible for collecting, correlating, and preparing recommendations and conclusions for final reports.Review drawings for compliance with the TxDOT Roadway design manual including horizontal/vertical, typical sections, cross-sections.Manage a team of various levels of engineers, engineering technicians, and other technical support staff.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Engineer Registration in Texas.8+ years' experience in TxDOT design experience including PS&E, Schematics.Proven ability to pursue and win TxDOT RFQs.PreferredExperience in sales and marketing.At Freese and Nichols, everyone on our team gets to make a meaningful difference in our communities.
