This role is responsible for the review and improvements of materials operations within the Gibson USA craftory, with a focus on production-based material movement, warehousing operations, and managing hourly team members.Essential FunctionsAssist the Materials Teams in the execution of material flow activities, receiving and material control/delivery within Gibson USA process areas.Supervisor for Materials Team hourly team members.Assist in the audit of MRP/D365 Processes to ensure the proper quantities of components needed are issued and consumed at the point of use.Work with the Materials and Buyer/Planner teams to improve and maintain the PFEP database and use that information to drive improvements in material presentation and control within the facility.Help design supermarket locations and delivery processes to ensure the proper amount of point of use materials are in place and that unwanted items are returned for proper storage and control.Using ABC rationale, design proper inventory warehouse storage plans, assist the warehouse teams to reduce travel time and improve accuracies through proper warehouse design techniques.Assist in the planning and execution of Annual Physical Inventory.Lead frequent cycle counting activities at Gibson USA.Required Skills/AbilitiesStrong leadership skills.Strong organizational, project management, and follow-up skills.Strong Microsoft Office capability.Clear communicator with a strong ability to navigate through data to “tell the story.”Demonstrated ability to function within cross-team collaboration.Demonstrated ability to generate ABC warehouse mapping, PFEP, and product flow analysis.Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in a related field or related experience.Demonstrated improvisational and problem-solving skills.Strong analytical and quantitative skills.Demonstrated experience in completing product flow, storage, and/or issuance projects and being able to clearly describe the planned versus actual results of the projects.At least 2 years of warehouse/factory operations experience.Microsoft Office.Supply Chain, Warehouse, ABC, Staging, and product flow mapping.Microsoft D365.Personal QualitiesEnjoys working with data, a problem solver.Ability to handle pressure well and calmly lead others through complex issues across physical and systemic platforms.Ability to clearly communicate requirements.Ability to equitably issue assignments across a matrixed environment.Must have Player-Coach capability while maintaining a high degree of ownership in the team.Must be a willing student to then transfer new knowledge learned.Should be detail-oriented and highly organized.Have a Servant Leader mentality.Travel Requirements10% across other facilities.Physical DemandsMobility to work in typical office and field (warehouse/production) settings and use standard office equipment.
