Job Summary:
The Assistant Director-Clinic is responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day clinic operation. He/she creatively handles difficult situations/issues; interfaces with physicians, employees, and patients, maintaining positive relations with the ability to delegate and coordinate responsibility. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a Business or other healthcare-related field required. Minimum of five years supervisory experience in healthcare required. Two additional years of healthcare experience accepted in lieu of education.
Knowledge and Skills:
Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively, think critically, work independently, perform basic math/statistical functions, manage multiple assignments, and compose written material. Able to work well under pressure, problem-solve, prioritize workload, and recall information with accuracy. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications:
Valid California driver's license and auto liability insurance required.
