On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be expected to:Develop and oversee the production of architectural construction documentsPromote and connect users/local offices with training, educational, and communication resourcesTrain and mentor staff in detailing, planning production, and digital processingUnderstand model health in office projects and provide guidance to attain a healthy levelPromote communications developed by Digital Practice Team and Regional Digital LeaderLead large project teams in project start-ups and the management of models and project deliverablesAssure compliance with project contract language, proposals, and deliverablesAssist with consultant models and integrationAssist project leadership in aligning user skillsets with project requirementsDirect preparation of drawings by Technicians of lesser experience as needed, or have direct supervisory responsibility for staffWork with clients or contractor representatives as neededPerform other duties as neededRequired QualificationsAssociate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 10 years of architectural drafting experience on buildings/facilitiesRequires extensive knowledge of BIM, design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledgeAbility to prepare drawings and detailsStrong computer skills using Revit 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, and Microsoft OfficeAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culturePreferred QualificationsExperience in Healthcare, Science, Technology, and/or Civic facilitiesPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEEDPreference is given to local candidatesWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
