We’re backed by some of the most prominent investors in Silicon Valley including Temasek, Toyota, Felicis Ventures, Y Combinator, and Chris Sacca of LowerCarbon Capital.If you believe that climate change is the defining global emergency of the century and want to join an ambitious project that’s working on a biological solution, we’d love to hear from you.We are looking for a dedicated and mission-driven individual to join the Operations Team and to take ownership of Living Carbon’s office space and team activities, including organizing and coordinating office administration duties, implementing office procedures, and planning and hosting team events. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.The ideal candidate:Has excellent time management and organizational skills.Thrives in a fast-paced environment.Will look to bring creativity and fresh ideas towards the layout and operations of Living Carbon’s headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area.Responsibilities:Own the function and format of Living Carbon’s Headquarters, including common spaces, meeting rooms, and the organizational style of our open office space.Develop creative ideas to bolster Living Carbon’s unique culture, such as by hosting engaging team-building activities and fun events.Curate interesting engagement opportunities, such as organizing tasty and healthy team lunches and designing cool branded gear for employees and partners.Support planning of onsite visits to the Living Carbon HQ (for interview candidates, visiting partners, investors, media guests, etc.).Support recruiting and onboarding efforts, especially in regard to onsite interviews and new hire office setup at the Living Carbon HQ and Living Carbon’s Lab in Charleston, SC.Organize and plan team meetings and off-sites by assisting with the production of materials and pre-reads.Interface across diverse teams to support overlapping operations and construction projects for Living Carbon’s office spaces and adjacent onsite laboratory spaces.Bring creative ideas and operational support to Living Carbon’s participation at conferences and special events.Coordinate with Lab Operations on shipping and receiving.Be onsite Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.Qualifications:2-3+ years of experience in office management, admin management, and/or operations management.Bachelor’s degree in related field a huge plus.Incredibly organized, with superb attention to detail and a strong ability to execute.Excellent with time management and able to quickly shift tasks and priorities as needed.Communicate, perform, and react well under pressure or ambiguity.Enjoy optimizing processes to make them more efficient.Adept at handling sensitive information and situations with care and confidence.Motivated by Living Carbon’s mission and able to bring creative ideas to build the team culture.Strong technical / computer skills: proficient in Apple / GSuite / Microsoft Office software applications and experience hosting and coordinating virtual Zoom meetings.Living Carbon PBC offers competitive compensation and generous healthcare, dental, and vision insurance.Living Carbon PBC is an equal opportunity employer.
