Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning.Position Overview:The Individual Giving Specialist provides nationwide support in the pipeline development and stewardship of donors giving to the National MS Society. The Specialist strategically solicits and stewards donors giving through individual giving revenue channels, to create meaningful experiences and to uncover additional giving potential. This position actively works to qualify and develop a pipeline of new and retained prospects through a defined portfolio of donors giving at the $1,000-$2,499 level. This position plays an active role on relationship management teams to develop and support moves management planning for all assigned prospects and moves donors with higher capacity and interest up the Individual Giving team pipeline.Essential Functions / ResponsibilitiesActive Portfolio Management

Contact 80-100 donors per week through phone calls, emails, and mailed correspondence.Record all donor interactions in CRM (Salesforce).Manage pipeline of new and retained donors by building relationships to increase Individual Giving revenue.Identify top relationships for moves management plans to grow donor's giving based on capacity.Travel as needed to Society events, meet with donors, and act as a representative of the Individual Giving team.Stewardship

Steward all donor gifts at $500 - $2,499 level in covered markets.Capture all stewardship interactions in CRM.Personally invite donors to Society hosted events and encourage participation.Send regular personalized updates to donors on the impact of their support according to donor preference.Pipeline Generation

Contact assigned proactive prospects to determine their interest in a deeper relationship with the Society.Actively pursue new leads and qualify for portfolios.Identify individuals with affinity, access and ability as potential pipeline opportunities and transition to appropriate portfolios.Special Projects

Additional fundraising project support as needed.May include quarterly fundraising outreach, team projects, or other tasks.Role QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail in both internal and external communications.2 years of nonprofit fundraising or sales experience, nonprofit experience preferred.Bachelor's degree (will consider no degree with at least 5 years of experience in a non-profit environment).Self-directed, action-oriented, collaborative and accessible to colleagues.Highly organized, with processes for handling competing priorities on deadline.Strong relationship-building skills, diplomacy and discretion.Technical CompetenciesExcellent time management skills.Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, fundraising CRMs and donor databases.Experience and comfort using video conferencing for regular meetings.Compensation & Benefits Info:Estimated hiring compensation range for this role is

$48,000 - $63,000

based on our average compensation schedule.
