SummaryThe Securities Lending Operations Supervisor is a member of the Stock Loan department and will support and integrate with the Securities Lending trading desk. This position will assist in leading professional staff as well as assisting the Operations Manager with the opening, management, and closing of both long and short positions of all types of securities via Reg T margin financing, Repo financing, Securities Lending, Fully Paid Lending, and Reg U.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Performs reconciliation of all lending, borrowing, short sale authorization activities and functions related to servicing internal and external client accounts; Financial Advisors, Internal trading groups, Hedge Funds, Counterparties, etc.• Performs all operational or administrative functions for client related requests.• Lead, coordinate small and medium projects supporting the department.• Conduct reviews including Collateral, Credit and FOCUS reports and makes recommendations.• Assist with the opening of new accounts, establish counter party processing parameters, and perform account maintenance of existing accounts.• Establish team work through collaboration and mentoring in contributing to the development of other associates.• Participate in the growth and development of the department assisting in testing and designing operational procedures.• Support Director and Operations Manager in all aspects of the department.• Seeks increased responsibilities for self-development and growth.Qualifications• Strong knowledge and experience across Fully Paid Lending Matchbook products, House, Conduit and Hedge account types, and SmartLoan, Loanet, Anetics, and Beta systems.• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• The ability to identify abnormalities and exercise independent discretion and judgment to resolve a problem.Education and Experience• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.• Minimum Required: 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.Licenses and Credentials• Minimum Required: Series 7 and Series 63 or 66.Systems and Technology• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.• Proficient with BETA, DTCC, FIS, Anetics.DisclaimerNOTE: Job descriptions are intended to be accurate reflections of those principal job elements essential for making fair pay decisions about jobs.
