Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DOD SkillBridge program, offering Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships.Under the SkillBridge program, GMR hosts active-duty U.S. Military members for skilled employment training during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program with GMR will run for 90-days.The Supply Chain Supervisor is primarily responsible for the management of the logistics operations, overseeing the supply chain activities from acquiring materials and products for the entire Aircraft fleet that is assigned.SCOPESupply Chain Supervisor reports to the Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible for assuring the effective operations of the Purchasing Department and supervision of the logistics personnel. This individual will evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety. They examine catalogs, commerce publications, and directories to find the right suppliers when needed. They are also responsible for planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of the Buyers engaged in various supply chain tasks. This role works closely with:Accounting and Finance Departments to ensure proper payment of invoices and accurate accounting of inventory levels.Safety and Quality Departments to ensure safe aircraft operations.Regional Maintenance Managers and Base Mechanics to ensure timely delivery of parts.Other GMR Air Companies Supervisors to coordinate and maximize efficiencies of the department.ProcurementFacilitate and direct day-to-day operations providing direction, recommended steps, and proactively escalate supply issues directly resulting in work stoppages and grounded Aircraft.Determining shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet maintenance schedules.Review requisitions for proper delivery requirements.Establish and maintain supplier relations and partnerships.Provide analysis of potential cost savings as it pertains to overall supply chain efficiency where forecasting and replenishment have a direct impact.Ensure productivity goals and objectives are achieved.Monitor and manage purchase prices to meet cost reduction goals.Review part requirements and delivery schedules daily.Continually monitor critical part status and report on key items with up-to-date information.Ensure all material, supplies, components, and equipment arrive on time to support maintenance requirements.Manage and reconcile open purchase order reports.Assist with reviewing supplier backorders and prepare reports for the National Director of Supply Chain on past due and critical part shortages.Assist Buyers and Regional Managers with PN's on aircraft and equipment installed as needed.WarrantyManage all warranty claims for all new aircraft and installed equipment.Track and manage all vendor warranty credits.Review all outstanding credits to ensure the company is receiving past due credits from vendors.Inventory PlanningAssist with establishing inventory stock levels with usage history, forecasts, shelf life, etc.Assist with parts forecasting and historical usage data to plan lead-time orders and maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the maintenance department.Assist in planning and maintain minimum spares for existing and new bases.Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate audit trail of all supply transactions for materials traceability and serviceability.Assist and participate in cost control and reduction initiatives.Assist with inventory reduction of excess/slow moving stock via vendor returns.Assist with inventory levels and related factors to manage inventory turn time.Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.Assist with suppliers' evaluation based on performance, quality, and safety.Provide after-hours / weekend support for AOG's (rotational on-call schedule).Resolve accounting, receiving, and quality issues to ensure timely acceptance and payment of material.Assist in designing and refining inventory strategies/policies to determine cost-effective use of inventory investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting supply chain objectives.Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested with a sense of humor and team spirit!Minimum Required Qualifications:Current Active-Duty Service MemberMeets DoD SkillBridge QualificationsAvailable to participate for 90-days.Obtain approval from your unit commander and agree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the Service if mission requirements dictate.Ten years' experience with supply chain conceptsAdvanced computer skills, preferably experience using a computer-based inventory tracking system.High school diploma or equivalent.Aviation industry experience preferred.Technical knowledge of helicopter parts preferred.
