Project Manager SUMMARY
Project Manager provides leadership on IT projects to achieve key business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Understanding overall project objectives, as well as the role and function of each stakeholder, including: clients, delivery teams, financial team, and senior management.
Ensuring that project objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders.
Developing project plans and leading resources to meet planned deliverables.
Managing financial impact/budget for programs/projects.
Translating high complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.
Guiding the team to complete projects on time, on budget, and on scope.
Stays up to date on industry trends.
May perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in an IT setting
Skilled in resource, budget, and time management
Experience mentoring other project managers
Strong knowledge of PMBOK, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative approaches
Knowledge of other methodologies such as Lean and Kanban
Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Clarity, etc
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Strong initiative; a self-starter; motivated
Demonstrated ability to execute effective time management skills and meet deadlines
Strong oral and written communications skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS and other assets:
PMP or other Project Management certification preferred
